DI-N-BUTYL SEBACATE (DBS) - SYNOPSIS

Synopsis for DBS

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) has a requirement for the procurement of domestically manufactured Di-N-Butyl Sebacate (DBS). The chemical and physical properties of DBS shall meet the requirements of Military Specification MIL-DTL-82669B. The contractor shall test the DBS against an external certified and traceable DBS using gas chromatography (GC). The GC testing must be run on the same instrument via the same method and calibration.

NSWC IHD intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a brand name mandatory basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c). The authorized manufacturer of DBS is Aurorium, LLC. The PSC code is 6810 and the NAICS code is 325199.

THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
