    Description

THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), on behalf of the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office (PMA-265), is conducting market research to identify potential sources who have the skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required to successfully support a Life of Type Buy (LoTB) of obsolete electronic components for the Distributed Targeting Processor-Networked (DTP-N).

The DTP-N is a mission computer that provides the high-performance computing and video processing required for the advanced mission capabilities of the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft.  It achieves this by utilizing a dual-redundant High Speed Data Network (HSDN) and two single High Speed Video Network (HSVN) interfaces—including a dedicated Graphics Output Interface—to facilitate the transfer of video, imagery, graphics, and sensor data between the DTP-N and other avionics systems.  This procurement is for the following nine obsolete components which are critical to the production and sustainment of the DTP-N:

    • Broadcom Ethernet Transceiver (Part Number: BCM5482SHA2IFBG)

    • Renesas Electronics PCIe Switch (Part Number: 89H32NT24AG2ZCHLGI)

    • NXP Microprocessor (Part Number: P5020NXE7QMB)

    • Silicon Motion NAND (Part Number: SM631GEA-BA)

    • Intel Processor (Part Number: FH8065802420402 SR2E6)

    • Intel Chipset FCBGA (Part Number: DH82QM87 SR17C)

    • Xilinx FPGA (Part Number: XQF32PVOG48M)

    • Intel Ethernet Controller (Part Number: JL82599ES SR1VN)

    • Infineon Clock-Buffer (Part Number: CY2304NZZXI-1)
