DRY FIRE LASER AND BATTERY NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the TL-405 Dry Laser Fire and TL-467 Battery Pack for Laser Devices for the Judgment Pistol Simulator.  Accordingly, the TSA intends to award a purchase order to Ti Training LE LLC, 16163 W 45TH DR Unit H, Golden, Colorado 80403-2600, United States. This contract will address the requirements TSA has with existing Judgement Pistol Simulators (JPS) at the Transportation Security Administration Training Center (TSATC) and Field Offices throughout the country.
The dry fire laser and battery packs used by the JPS systems is a custom-built device designed exclusively for the JPS systems that TSA currently operate.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. The Government will notify parties of the outcome of any proposal submitted in response.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
