    Description

    This is a MARKET SURVEY / SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), FAR Part 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.  This is not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations.

    REQUIREMENT:  The USCG SFLC PBPL will procure an estimated 460 Duramax Marine, LLC propulsion shaft bearing assemblies or associated components under five national stock numbers over the course of this contract.  The bearing assemblies or associated components are required as government furnished equipment (GFE) in support of the 154’ WPC class vessels.

    Duramax Marine, LLC will manufacture the required bearing assemblies or associated components IAW their proprietary drawings and manufacturing processes for use on the USCG 154’ WPC vessels.  The bearing assemblies or associated components are standard throughout the 154’ WPC fleet and are critical to the propulsion shaft drive line and vessel operations.  Onsite quality assurance inspection by USCG SFLC quality assurance (QA) personnel will be required prior to shipping to verify contract compliance.

    i.          Part No. 80920203000001, NSN 2010-01-605-8306 – 154’ WPC Forward Stave Bearing Assembly, MIL-DTL-17901C Class III, Type MOD, Radius backed, Romor assembly to suit 8” Journal Diameter.  Used as part of the propulsion shaft system on the 154’ WPC vessels.

    ii.         Part No. 80920203000002, NSN 2010-01-605-8113 – 154’ WPC Forward Stave Bearing Assembly, MIL-DTL-17901C Class III, Type MOD, Radius backed, Romor assembly to suit 8” Journal Diameter.  Used as part of the propulsion shaft system on the 154’ WPC vessels.

    iii.        Part No. 80920203000003, NSN 3120-01-605-7400 – Parts Kit, Forward Stave Bearing consisting of part numbers: 80920203000001-1 (Qty 2), 80920203000001-3 (Qty 2) and 80920203000001-2 (Qty 8).  Used as part of the propulsion shaft system on the 154’ WPC vessels.

    iv.        Part No. 80920203000004, NSN 3120-01-605-7345 – Kit, Forward Stave Bearing Split External Retaining Ring, consisting of part numbers: 807520380-F (Qty 1) and 891110800 (Qty 10).  Used as part of the propulsion shaft system on the 154’ WPC vessels.

    v.         Part No. 80920203000005, NSN 3120-01-605-7510 – Kit, Aft Stave Bearing Split External Retaining Ring, consisting of part numbers: 807520380-F (Qty 1) and 891110800 (Qty 10).  Used as part of the propulsion shaft system on the 154’ WPC vessels.

    Period of Performance:  It is anticipated that one firm, fixed-price, requirements contract for five (5) one (1) year ordering periods will be awarded for this requirement.

    The following information / documentation must be included in your response:

    (a)  a positive statement of your intention to submit a quote for this solicitation as a prime contractor, to include:  Name of Company, Address, DUNS Number, Point of Contact and Phone Number, Business Size for the applicable NAICS Code and, if applicable, your Small Business Status along with a copy of the Certificate from the Small Business Administration (SBA) certifying the company’s small business status, and

    (b)  evidence of experience in supplying the required items to include:  Contract Numbers, Project Titles and Dollar Amounts, Points of Contact and Telephone Numbers.  At least two references are requested, but more are desirable.

    All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made for a small business set-aside.  The solicitation for this procurement indicating whether this will be pursued as a small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted at www.fbo.gov.
