E-STRIP GPX 20/50, STARCH-G ACRYLIC BLAST MEDIA

The 502d Contracting Squadron, 395 B Street West Suite 2, Joint Base San Antonio Randolph (JBSA-Randolph), TX 78150, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to Midvale Group, Inc., CAGE Code 3NKN8. The action will be executed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, and 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and the attached Single Source Justification.

The requirement is to provide the following:

CLIN 0001: Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM) E-Strip GPX 20/50, Starch-G Acrylic Blast Media, Quantity of 52, 300lbs drums.  The media must comply to military specification MIL-P85891, Grade A, Type VII with the cost including inbound freight to Randolph. 

The nature of the sole source is that there is only one known manufacturer of the Type VII GPX Starch-g Acrylic Blast Media: Archer Daniels Midland. ADM is on the Air Force's Qualified Products List for Mil-P-85891 Plastic Media Blast. ADM has designated Midvale as their authorized distributor.  See attached Single Source Justification for further details.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote or proposal. However, interested parties may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications to fully meet the requirements of this notice via email to: andrew.hernandez.24@us.af.mil and vivian.fisher@us.af.mil no later than 02 September 2025 at 12:00PM CST. The information received will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Any costs incurred in submitting a capabilities statement will not be reimbursed by the Government.  A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
