The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to solicit, negotiate and make an award on a sole-source basis with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Hydraulics International, Inc. (CAGE: 56529) for the procurement of Part Number (PN): 040499-100; Nomenclature: ELECTRIC HYD POWER SUPPLY A/M27T-14 required to meet initial stand-up quantities for the Kinston Depot C-130 project. This PN is required to perform Organizational/ Intermediate and Depot Level Maintenance tasks on KC-130J type aircraft.

This acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
