The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item of standing timber on approximately 48 acres within one (1) block at Ethan Allen Firing Range Installation, Chittenden County, Vermont. Approximately the following volumes to be harvested from within the designated block boundary:

The sale is being sold lump sum, a sufficent bid requires a 20% of total bid amount accompanied in certified funds. The full bid balance payment is due prior to commencement removal of designated timber from the sale area.

WHITE PINE – 60.07 MBF

WHITE ASH – 18.71 MBF

RED MAPLE – 16.69 MBF

RED OAK – 15.71 MBF

SUGAR MAPLE – 8.87 MBF

EASTERN HEMLOCK – 6.5 MBF

PAPER BIRCH – 4.44 MBF

YELLOW BIRCH – 3.4 MBF

AMERICAN BEECH – 1.57

FIREWOOD – 329 Cord

CHIPWOOD – 1,270 Ton

Contract Period of Performance:

Item # one (1) Big Pine North Timber sale:  Harvest operations including tree felling and skidding, shall be completed by 31 March 2026, processing logs at the log landing, hauling wood products offsite, demobilization, and final site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 30 June 2026.  No tree cutting between 1 April to 14 October.

INSPECTION INVITED ON THURSDAY August 21, 2025, AT 9:00 a.m.  AN ADDITIONAL DATE AND TIME MAY BE AVAILABLE DEPENDING ON SCHEDULING ACCESS & AVAILABILITY.   Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Friday September 5, 2025 by the Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly.
