The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to compete a limited source competition between Howmet Global Fastening Systems (CAGE: 29372) of Simi Valley, CA, and their authorized distributors for the manufacturing and delivery of Flaring Tool, P/N: CA2210T-5, QTY 21, Installation Tooling, P/N: CA2210T-6, QTY 21 and Installation Tooling, P/N: CA2210T-08, QTY 21, in support of the F/A-18 Program. This acquisition is being pursued under the limited source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements; therefore, a solicitation is not available for this procurement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the government will consider all responses received within 15 calendar days after the date of publication of the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement
