FIRING RANGE SERVICES FOR CBP MIAMI

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor a promise to issue an RFP or other solicitation. Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback about its submission, other than acknowledgment of receipt. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is not currently seeking proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the expense of the respondent. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. All submissions become the property of the Federal Government and will not be returned.

CBP is seeking information from interested vendors that could provide local indoor or outdoor firing range services.  Location of firing range shall be within Broward or Miami Dade County. The facility shall accommodate CBP's required weapons training and qualification initiatives. The range shall need to accommodate qualifications for up to 1,700 CBP Officers on a quarterly basis.

The Contractor shall provide a twenty-five (25) yard firing range indoor or outdoor facility, which shall include: a minimum of 24 individual firing positions, an Equipment Cleaning Area, Conference/Classroom seating a minimum of 24 students as well as a mat room, and restrooms.  The firing positions/lanes used by CBP officers should be restricted from public view. Preferred hours of use: 6AM to 2PM, Monday to Friday.

The Contractor shall provide an indoor or outdoor firing range that will accommodate both standard FMJ, and jacketed ammunition and must accommodate the following ammunition:  9mm handgun rounds; .223 Remington rounds; 12-gauge shotgun rounds (buckshot and slugs).
