FORT RANDALL DRAFT TUBE BULKHEAD BARS AND SPRINGS SUPPLY

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 - Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Omaha District, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Johnson Machine Works, Inc. This is a supply contract to to manufacture and deliver retaining bars, leaf springs, and bolt assemblies to restore the sealing of the draft tube bulkheads at Fort Randall Dam, SD. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition to U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source (1) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, (i) Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED.
The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 332312, Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 500 Employees.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS.
Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement woud be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 2pm CDT on 8 August 2026, an award will be made without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
