This synopsis is to inform industry that Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a solicitation to procure QTY 2 Gensym G2 deployment licenses to support lab-based development, testing, and troubleshooting of the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) system on all test sites and labs. The AAG system is a CVN-based aircraft arrestment system that utilizes Gensym G2 software as part of its health monitoring and prognostics system. The Government intends to procure the above items on a sole source basis to SHI International Corp (CAGE: 1HTF0) under the authority of 10USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation, when issued, will be for a firm-fixed price contract. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to the contractors. The government will only accept electronic quotations.
