GRAFYTHERM COATED GARMENTS

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Directa Plus S.P.A located at Via Cavour 2, Lomazzo, Col, 22074, Italy, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

The requirement is for the procurement of ponchos and tarps coated with Grafytherm coating to include testing of the coated items. Directa Plus S.P.A. possesses proprietary Grafytherm coating technology and the expertise to apply it effectively to the specified fabric. Grafytherm itself is a patented or trade secret formulation developed by Directa Plus, designed to provide enhanced thermal conductivity and horizontal heat dissipation in fabrics. This ability of the coating to evenly distribute heat across the required material is not replicated by any other commercially available coating or treatment. As such, there are no other known vendors capable of meeting the requirements of this action.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325220 and the size standard is 1,050 employees.
