1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only.

1.1 The Government is performing market research on potential sources of manufacturing for the following item(s):

1.2 This notification is for market research purposes to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, knowledge and ability to obtain access to the proprietary data to manufacture these item. This notice does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid.

1.3 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive.

1.4 The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336413 which has a corresponding size standard of 1,250 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement.

1.5 The Government is interested in all small or large business concerns. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your business status to the identified NAICS Code.

1.6 The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and include information that demonstrates you possess or have the ability to obtain rights to the proprietary data required to manufacture this item.

2. PROGRAM DETAILS: The Government anticipates issuing a new Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) sole source ten (10) year (5 yr base and 5 yr ordering option) commercial IDIQ contract to Hydro-Aire Ince. (Cage Code 81982) in support of Air Force (Hill Air Force Base, Ut, Tinker Air Force Base, Ok, Warner-Robins, GA) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) requirements for the attached NSN list. Note, the above decentralized ordering centers and attached NSN list shall not be considered all inclusive and may change pre/post-contract award.

The Government does not own the rights to the data for the attached NSN list. Suppliers will need to demonstrate they possess or have access to the technical data and drawings from the original equipment manufacturer, Hydro-Aire Inc. (Cage Code 81982). Attempts to reverse-engineer these parts have been deemed not plausible or economically reasonable.
