ANNOUNCEMENT: The Air Force Test Center’s Installation Contracting Division (AFTC/PZI), Operating Location Arnold Air Force Base, is hosting an Industry Day at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) located in Colorado on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, from 0800 to 1500 Mountain Standard Time. The purpose of the Industry Day is to enhance potential offerors’ understanding of the Government’s requirement for a commercial solution to deliver a new Aerodynamic Test Facility.
BACKGROUND: It is the objective of the project that the new Aerodynamic Test Facility be either a 1/16th or a 1/8th scaled representation of the Tunnel 16S and Tunnel 16T test legs that are currently located on Arnold Air Force Base (AFB) located in Tennessee. The new facility will require its own supporting infrastructure to minimize impact on other test facilities. The location of the new facility has yet to be determined; however, the Government is considering a site located on either USAFA or Arnold AFB.
