Authority: This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Motorola Solutions Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the IP2 ASTRO-25 system. The proprietary nature of Motorola’s software, firmware, and diagnostic tools precludes third-party access and maintenance. Motorola maintains certified personnel and secure infrastructure across all required geographic areas.
Justification: A Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in accordance with FAR 6.303 and will be posted in accordance with FAR 6.305.
