INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - INFLATABLE F-35 AIRCRAFT COVERS - TYNDALL AFB

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:

(THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE)

The 325th Contracting Squadron, Tyndall Air Force Base, FL intends to award a sole source contract to Kennon Products Inc,1100 Hi Tech DR Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, for the procurement of inflatable aircraft protective covers for the F-35 Airframe. 325 CONS/PKA will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization).

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by the closed date specified herein will be reviewed by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
