INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - RAPISCAN PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICES

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO), Taxpayer Focused Division intends to award a sole source purchase order to Rapiscan Systems, Inc, Torrance, California under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a single source (SAP). The proposed action is for Rapiscan X-Ray System Preventive Maintenance services.

This notice is published for informational purposes only. No Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued. The Government has determined that Rapiscan is the only responsible source capable of meeting the Government’s requirements for a firm-fixed price purchase order to cover preventive maintenance services for Rapiscan X-Ray Screening Systems.  This order will include a base year and four (4) option years.

Any interested parties that believe they have the capability to meet this requirement may submit a capabilities statement to Ingrid.a.harris@irs.gov by 3:00 PM EST, Friday, January 16, 2026.

It is your responsibility to demonstrate how your company is capable of providing the same functionality that exists with the services mentioned above. The Government will not seek additional information from your company if you fail to provide sufficient evidence of having a service capable of meeting the Government's needs. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
