JAPAN RAIL TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

This Notice is to gather interested sources for Rail Transportation Services within Japan. This Notice is solely for the Government's use as a market research tool. This Notice does not constitute a request for proposal(s), a solicitation, or a request for quote(s). If determined appropriate, then a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with (IAW) FAR 12.603 may be anticipated. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this Notice. All information received will be considered. Failure to respond to this Notice does not preclude a firm from offering on any resultant solicitation; however, a lack of interest in this requirement may keep this effort from moving forward competitively.

DLA Energy has a requirement for the Transportation (NAICS code 482111) and accessorial services, to include Switching and Shunting (NAICs code 488210) of Turbine Fuel, Aviation (JP-8) using leased 45-ton Railway Tank Cars (RTC) between Defense Fuel Supply Point (DFSP) Tsurumi and Yokota Air Force Base, Japan. The Contractor will be required to provide linehaul, switching, and shunting services, it is estimated that 10 (ten) shipments will be delivered on a monthly basis.
