    Description

    This justification is based on the unique capabilities and supplies offered exclusively by a single contractor. The proposed Sole Source award is for the provision of Maintenance and software updates for four quadrepedal unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), Vision 60 Q-UGV.

    The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under this requirement is FAR 2.101, FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).In accordance FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Soliciting from a single source. (1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. (i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing, brand name or industrial mobilization). 

    Under this effort the contractor shall provide all of the manpower, tools, software, facilities, and equipment necessary to maintain and sustain the Tyndall AFB Q-UGV's for a period of 1 year after contract award. This maintenance includes but is not limited to all necessary software updates, full hardware coverage, priority maintenance (including all shipping), and preventative maintenance (every 4000 walk hours). This coverage excludes government installed 3rd Party devices, such as payload sensors and manipulators, as they are maintained via manufacturer warranty.
