THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS. ACC-RSA has a sole source requirement for Mountain Secure Systems. This is a Sole Source with Mountain Secure Systems IAW FAR 13.501(a)(2)(i). IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15) Mountain Secure Systems is the only source capable of fulfilling the Government's requirement for the renewal. The maintenance is an annual renewable contract. When needed, the Element(TEC) HWIL Lab will contact Mountain Secure Systems for assistance with faults in the equipment. Once a solution is agreed upon, Mountain Secure Systems will execute the maintenance in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. No Solicitation documents exist at this time. This item utilizes North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 334111. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16_(ii) all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The combination of SLCND, ruggedization requirements (Parylene coating and CSA/SP1 certification), the leaded designation, and the specific Lockheed Martin Company (LMCO) part number significantly limited the availability of comparable products. Only Mountain Secure Systems was identified as capable of providing a drive meeting all specified requirements. Using another brand other than Mountain Secure Systems could negate compatibility. If the Element (TEC) HWIL lab does not receive these hard drives, the lab will not be able to save critical data from real-world and test events, which could be detrimental to the United States Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) capability due to lack of critical data. ACC-RSA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the interested parties in responding to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
