LUMINAR IRIS LIDAR SENSOR

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center - Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) has a require­ ment for a Luminar LiDAR Sensor Purchase. ERDC intends to award a purchase order on a brand name basis in accordance with FAR

13.501. This is not a set-aside of any kind.

Market research indicates that Luminar Lidar Sensor is the brand name equipment for this procurement as Sensor models for a Luminar Iris lidar were already created us­ ing computational methods as required by an Army Reimbursable for Robotic and Autonomous Systems. For computational models to be considered trustworthy, those models must be validated with physical testing comparisons. A physical Luminar Iris lidar needs to be acquired to collect real­ world data that will provide validation and verification requirements for the computa­tionally-developed model.

This is a Brand Name Requirement IAW FAR 13.501(a)(2).

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR sub­ part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.

Proposals are being requested at this time. No other formal solicitation will be issued.

Offerors shall include a quote with suffi­cient description and pricing to evaluate compliance with the requirements of the attached solicitation and description of re­ quirements. An award will be made to the offer with the lowest priced technically ac­ ceptable offer.
