The 765th Air Base Squadron, 65th Contracting Flight (765 ABS/CONF) is posting this RFI to determine potential sources capable of providing all specialized tools, equipment, and qualified labor to inspect, test, maintain, and repair the Lajes Field Air Force Base Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainer (MAFT). The goal is to ensure its serviceability and prevent deterioration in operational effectiveness. Responses to the present notice do not constitute an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Services Description: The Contractor shall provide all specialized tools, equipment, and qualified labor to inspect, test, maintain, and repair the Lajes Field Air Force Base Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainer (MAFT) in a manner that will ensure its serviceability and prevent deterioration in operational effectiveness. The Contractor shall comply with this Performance Work Statement (PWS), Air Force Technical Order (TO) 35E1-2-13-1 (latest version in effect at the time utilized) Operation and Maintenance Instructions for Aircraft Live Fire Training Facilities (AFTF), commercial standards, manufacturers recommendations, procedures, technical data, and local, state, and federal guidelines as applicable to the work involved. NOTE: The Lajes Field MAFT is fueled by Butane gas, not Propane. Please see the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (Attachment 1), which provides a description of the service scope. Capability Statement: Please provide a statement, limited to three (3) pages, addressing the following: Offerors name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, Unique Entity ID and CAGE code. A statement of the offerors interest in submitting an offer on the solicitation when it is issued. A statement of the offerors capability to perform all required inspections and preventive maintenance in accordance with commercial standards, the attached draft PWS and Appendix 1A - USAF Live MAFT Inspection & Testing Requirements. Please provide your recommendations regarding the draft PWS. The Capability Statement for this RFI should provide a short statement regarding the companys ability to demonstrate existing experience in relation to the service specified herein. Submission of a Capability Statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. This request is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
