MITER GATE RUBBER SEALS FOR LOCKPORT, BRANDON ROAD, DRESDEN OR MARSEILLES LOCKS

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure a supply of molded rubber seals to support Illinois Waterway Lock Closure Projects, on a sole source basis with Motions Industries, Inc., in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339991 with a size standard of 600 employees.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer in the form of a capability statement. Supporting evidence in sufficient detail that demonstrates the ability to comply with the requirement listed must be furnished to the point of contact listed below by Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. CT.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will not reimburse for any costs connected with supplying sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. In order to receive a government award, a firm must be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov).
