MK88 MOD4 GUN MOUNT, MK48 MOD2 EOS ACQUISITION

This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award Firm Fixed Price(FFP) Indefinite Delivery – Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract on a sole source basis to MSI-Defence Systems US LLC (MSI-DS) (7XRR8), 1298 Galleria Boulevard, Rock Hill, SC 29730-6671 to procure the MK88 MOD4 Gun Mount (GM) and the MK48 MOD2 Electro-Optical Sight (EOS), associated hardware, and spares. MSI-DS is the only qualified vendor capable of providing the MK88 MOD4’s and MK48 MOD2’s as MSI-DS is the original designer, developer, and the only manufacturer of the MK88 MGS, which has already been tested and installed aboard various U.S. Navy and Coast Guard platforms.

THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.

All responding sources must email their response submissions no later than 8SEP2025.
