MODULAR OPTICAL SYSTEMS

1.0 Description

The Government requires the procurement of Modular Optic Systems (MOS) for operational use. The requested items shall meet or exceed the salient characteristics listed herein. This requirement is intended to support compact and sub-compact pistol platforms with pre-cut slide compatibility.

Award will be made to the responsible quoter whose quotation represents the best value to the Government.

3.0 Salient Characteristics

CLIN 0001 – Compact Pistol MOS

The offered product shall meet or exceed the following:

• Dot size: 3.5 MOA (red)
• Light wavelength: 650 nm
• Anti-reflex coating on all surfaces
• Multilayer objective lens coating
• Clear aperture: 15 × 15 mm
• Operationally parallax-free
• Magnification: 1×
• Unlimited eye relief
• Transmission: approximately 70% in 420–900 nm range
• Night vision compatible (minimum 4 settings)
• Minimum 6 daylight brightness settings
• Integrated Acro interface
• Dimensions not to exceed 47 × 33 × 31 mm
• Weight not to exceed 61 grams
• CR2032 side-load battery tray
• Battery life minimum 50,000 hours
• Waterproof/submersible to minimum 35 meters
• Operating temperature range –45°C to 71°C
• Shock resistant to minimum 20,000 rounds of .40 S&W
• Constructed of anodized 7075-T6 aluminum
• Direct mount capability to compact pistol with pre-cut slide

CLIN 0002 – Sub-Compact Pistol MOS

The offered product shall meet or exceed the following:

• Reticle: 3.5 MOA red dot
• CR2032 lithium battery
• Battery life minimum 50,000 hours
• Minimum 12 brightness settings
• Minimum 4 night vision settings
• Weight not to exceed 48 grams
• Clear aperture: 15 × 15 mm
• 7075-T6 aluminum housing
• Hardcoat anodized finish
• Submersible to minimum 25 meters
• Proprietary direct-mount dovetail interface
• Co-witness with factory iron sights
• Tested to withstand 40,000 rounds of 9mm recoil
• Tool-adjustable windage and elevation
• Side battery access without optic removal
• Direct mount capability to sub-compact pistol platform

5.0 Quote Submission Requirements

Vendors shall provide:

1. Unit and extended pricing for each CLIN
2. Manufacturer name and model number
3. Product specifications demonstrating compliance
4. Warranty information
5. Cage Code and UEI
6. Point of Contact
7. Completed 30a, b, and c on the attached SF1449

Note: Brand name or equal products will be considered, provided all salient characteristics are met or exceeded. 

The resultant award will be a firm fixed price contract with delivery 30 days following award
