If competitive procedures are not used it is estimated that an award will be issued by September 26, 2026. JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AN OPEN COMPETITION: NIST is expanding an existing electronic readout system for quantum sensors. NIST therefore requires the purchase of identical copies of the electronics NIST already haves in order to read out more sensor channels. Specifically, NIST requires the part numbers HTG-ZRF8-R2-48 and HTG-FMC-SFP-OC-E. NIST is successfully using parts from Hi Tech Global. Continuing to do so protects the government from the risk of purchasing electronics that are incompatible with existing hardware and subsequently unable to perform their mission.
