NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) on behalf of its Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract for KOENIG & BAUER MAP4077 -Bearing, Journal Race Eccentrics, Upper/Lower Set, Side I, KBA P/N L5540485, 106-050.  Proprietary to K&B, MAP5419- Blade, Support, KBA P/N L6958490, 1000362502.  Used On SOI Wiper Tank & MAP4173- Flange, KBA P/N L6958420, Inking Cylinder (CHABLON Cylinder), Side II.   The intended contractor is Koenig & Bauer Banknote Solutions SA, 347 Avenue Du Grey 55, Lausanne 22, 1018, CH.
The Government intends to award a sole source contract utilizing a Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition IAW FAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333248 All Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.  However, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of equipment provided. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any costs associated with providing the capability information will be provided by BEP.
Capability statements, comments, questions or concerns regarding this notice shall be submitted via e-mail ONLY to william.corley@treasury.gov and jason.roberts@treasury.gov, NO LATER THAN 12:00PM, EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME, 6 April 2026. Questions by phone or fax will not be considered. Additionally, interested sources must be registered and currently active in the System for Award Management (SAM), found at https://www.sam.gov.
