NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE -SOURCE - EATON UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY AND BATTERY MAINTENANCE - IRWIN ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL (IACH)

The Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, MEDCOM, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to

Eaton Corporation., an other than small business, under authority Title 41 United States Code (U.S.C) 1901 as implemented in FAR 12.102(a) restricting competition for acquisitions valued below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, to provide maintenance of the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) which supports the Toshiba Aquillion Computed Tomography (CT) and GE Discovery Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI) Systems. This service will take place at Irwin Army Community Hospital (IACH), Fort Riley, KS 66442. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 811210, and the size standard is 34M.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquiries will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.  This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for the maintenance servicing of the Government-owned Eaton Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.

The Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West intends to make a sole source award to Eaton Corporation, 8609 Six Forks Road, Raliegh, NC 27615.
