NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE - SEI INDUSTRIES

The  Alaska Army National Guard (AKARNG) State Aviation Office (SAO), in conjunction with the USPFO Purchasing and Contracting Division, intends to award a firm-fixed-price, sole source contract to SEI Industries under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a Single Source.

1. Requirement Details:

• Quantity (1): New 660-gallon SEI Industries Bambi Bucket system
• Quantity (2): 50ft Synthetic Long Lines

2. Justification & Technical Requirements:
SEI Industries is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Bambi Bucket system. This equipment is required to support critical UH-60 Blackhawk aerial firefighting operations across Alaska. 

• Airworthiness Release: The bucket and associated components must comply with Airworthiness Release (AWR) 1054R27. The SEI Bambi Bucket is the only currently approved firefighting bucket for use with the UH-60 Blackhawk under the AWR.
• Inoperability & Safety: The 50ft long lines act as an electrical extension of teh Bambi Bucket and are specially required for operation in heavily forested environments like Alaska. These lines are proprietary to the bucket system, and no other brand lines are compatible.

3. Delivery Information:

• Delivery Location: FT Richardson AK 99505
• Required Delivery Timeline: Within 90 days after contract award

4. Submission of Capability Statements:

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A formal solicitation will not be posted publicly. However, any responsible source who believes tehy can meet the exact technical, requirements may submit a capability statement  via email no later than 13 August 2026.
