NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD WITH BECTON DICKINSON & COMPANY

Notice of Intent to negotiate a sole source award with Becton Dickinson & Company.

The Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Gallup Indian Medical Center located in Gallup, New Mexico, intends to negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed-price award with Becton Dickinson & Company,  1 Becton Drive, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417, for medical supplies compatible with Becton Dickinson & Company manufactured lab equipment and specialized lab instruments used for patient care.

The Period of Performance will be Date of Award for 12 months and 4 option years, if exercised.  The award will be a sole source procurement pursuant to FAR 6.303-2(b)(4) and Authority 41 U.S.C. 1901.

This notice is not a solicitation or a request for offers. Any potential sources other than Becton Dickinson & Company may submit a capability statement via electronic mail to Stefanie Atene@ihs.gov by 10:00 AM MT on  September 8, 2025.

Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.   Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A solicitation will not be issued.
