    Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to ENVIRONMENTAL & MEDICAL GAS SERVICES, INC. for Replacement of gas generator nitrogen membrane. The contractor shall provide necessary nitrogen membranes as well as trained and experienced personnel to replace 2 nitrogen membranes on an existing gas generator supplying compressed gas to 6 mass spectrometers. The Division of HIV Prevention (DHP)/Laboratory Branch (LB) has a 4-compressor gas generator system installed and serviced with regular preventive maintenance and repair by Environmental & Medical Gas Services (EMGS). The nitrogen membrane component of the gas generator failed and needs to be replaced to ensure proper functioning of all 6 laboratory instruments. EMGS is currently providing regular maintenance and repair for the existing gas generator system. To ensure the nitrogen membranes are compatible with the remaining gas generator components, installed correctly and existing service contracts remain unaffected, the nitrogen membranes must be installed by the licensed technicians servicing the gas generator system. EMGS is the only vendor who can provide this installation ensuring the remaining system components are not affected.
