NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE TO EATON CORPORATION

Description:

The US Embassy Paramaribo, intends to award a sole source contract to Eaton Corporation for the purchase of OEM maintenance replacement parts and OEM certified breaker maintenance required at U.S. Embassy Paramaribo. Eaton Corporation meets the unique needs of the U.S. Embassy Paramaribo breaker service required by manufacture specifications.

Justification for Sole Source:

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), the Contracting Officer has deemed only one source reasonably available based on the following:

Eaton Corporation is the equipment manufacturer; the personnel, equipment, supplies, and technical expertise needed to service and properly maintain the equipment located in the Embassy are from the original source and no other source, services, or supplies will satisfy the Department of State requirements.

Response Information:

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any interested party that believes it can meet the requirements described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement. Responses must be submitted in writing to the point of contact listed below and must be received no later than August 9, 2025, 16:00 PM Local Time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
