OPTICAL COMPARATOR

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. The subject requirement is for a commercial product; as such, this solicitation is prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation is not an authorization to begin performance, and in no way obligates the Government for any costs incurred by the vendor associated with developing a quote. The Government reserves the right not to award a contract in response to this RFQ. Prior to commencement of any activities associated with performance of this requirement, the Government will issue a written directive or contractual document signed by the Contracting Officer with appropriate consideration established.

This is a set-aside for 100% small business participation.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334513, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables, with a size standard of 750 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6685, Pressure, Temperature, and Humidity Measuring and Controlling Instruments. The purpose of this solicitation is for the Government to procure a minimum of one, Optical Comparator System along with several magnification lenses, Centers and Vees, Profile Illumination, and Installation, Calibration, and Testing IAW the items included in Attachment 1 - Optical Comparator Specification and Attachment 3 – Pricing Worksheet.
