Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the P-8A aircraft. NAVAIR plans to procure seventy-seven (77) ADIRU updates to be delivered between FY26 and FY28. This action shall be procured pursuant of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the P-8A aircraft, possessing the detailed knowledge required to perform the updates and retrofits in a timely and cost-effective manner.
