The U.S. Military Academy, Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), West Point, NY award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, PistenBully Snow Groomer 440.

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals.

The proposed contract is for PistenBully Snow Groomer, for use at the Victor Constant Ski Resort in support of installation requirements.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

The Mission Installation Contracting Command - West Point on behalf of the United States Military Academy (USMA) Department of History intends to award sole source, firm fixed price contract to Mohawk Industries Werks, LLC. Queensbury, New York, for PistenBully Snow Groomer; authorized Pisten Bully Dealer and Service Center in the Northeast Area, for use at in support of installation requirements.

The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333924 Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer, and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing  with the associated size standard of 900 employees.
