The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source to fulfill this requirement, Diagnostics/Retrieval Systems Network and Imaging Systems, Inc. (DRS-NIS), Commercial and Government Entity code: 32865, located in Melbourne, FL with the production at DRS?s facility (Facility Code: 24290) located in Huntsville, AL.This action supports the continued production of ED. The ED is an integral part of the M1150 ABV. The ABV is a U.S. military mine and explosives-clearing vehicle, based on the M1A1 Abrams-chassis. The ED kit is composed of software that integrates diagnostic capability into the ABV, providing the ability to quickly identify and isolate faults while minimizing the need for carry-on test equipment. In accordance with FAR 5.207 (c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.This is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis and is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. This is for informational purposes only. The Government intends to award a contract on a sole-source basis to DRS-NIS and will not make an award based on information received in response to this notice.
