This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (NIH-CC) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with the following vendor: Quantum Surgical Incorporated. Acquisition Description: Robotics and image fusion technology will be used to treat patients with soft tissue neoplasm like liver, kidney and lung cancers. To achieve this goal, Quantum Surgical has developed the Epione® robot, dedicated to the curative and early treatment of cancers. It enables physicians to treat tumors that are inoperable or particularly difficult to reach, due to their size or their location, at an early stage without surgical intervention, in a simple and effective manner. Description of the supplies or services to be purchased: Epione RoboKit All elements and quantities listed below are included in one Epione RoboKit Reflective Spheres (12 eaches) Robot Arm Sterile Drape (1 each) Screen Sterile Drape (1 each) Mouse & Keyboard Sterile Drape (1 each) Project Background: The Interventional Radiology (IR) Section in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences requires the procurement of Epione RoboKit system accessories with the below mandatory requirement. While more than 6 million new abdominal and lung cancers are diagnosed every year, Quantum Surgicals purpose is to offer an innovative approach to cancer treatment, accessible to a wider population, allowing more patients to benefit from state-of-the-art, more targeted, and less invasive treatments. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources that could provide the required may submit a capability statement that will be considered by email (subject line to reference NOI-CC-25-008845) by 12:00 PM eastern standard time on 07/25/2025 to: valerie.gregorio@nih.gov. All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
