    Description

    The National Reconnaissance Office has a requirement to install an existing Government Furnished Contractor Installed (GFCI) Radome which is being relocated to the Schriever Space Force Station located in Colorado Springs, CO. This entails extending an existing octagonal shaped concrete pad and attaching a new circular concrete pad with a circular strip wall footing via steel dowels. The new pad and wall strip foundation have been designed to resist structural load values provided by the Radome supplier. The work also includes installation of necessary ground insulation and engineered fill beneath the pad to allow for shallow footings in areas with frost depth greater than 24 inches.  The ground around the pad shall be graded and soil erosion protection measures installed for storm water drainage that supports historical drainage patterns for the area. This notice constitutes an Invitation for Bid (IFB). An ARC account is required to view this posting on the ARC. Bid opening is anticipated to be 09 September 2024. Bid award is anticipated to be 11 September 2024. Tax Exemption: A tax exempt letter can be provided to the Prime Contractors only, however, the Government cannot guarantee the counties, states, material vendors or others will accept or honor the tax exemption. Therefore, please be aware that the Government will not entertain claims for taxes.
