RC-E VERY HIGH FREQUENCY COMMAND NETWORK (VCN) RADIOS AND COMPONENTS

The 409th Contracting Support Brigade, RCO-Balkan has a requirement for Very Hight Frequency Command Network(VCN) Radios and components. The Radios are available solely from Airbus Defence, as the required radios and components can only be purchased through Airbus. The NAICS code is 334220.

The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Airbus Defence and Space. The proposed action is for VCN Radios and Components, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Airbus is only source of that can provide radios that are compatible with NATO requirements. RCO-Balkans intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Airbus Defence and Space using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 04:00PM 28 January 2025. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 04:00PM on 28 January 2025 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
