RENOVATION OF ATHLETIC FIELDS #1 AND #4 – HANSCOM AFB

This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a request for competitive proposals, quotations, or bids, or a promise to issue any in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Air Force is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. The 66th Force Support Squadron at Hanscom Air Force Base is seeking information and capabilities from potential contractors for the renovation of athletic Fields #1 and #4. The objective is to deliver safe, playable, and durable athletic fields that meet Air Force playability standards, ensure proper drainage, and achieve successful turf establishment. This RFI is intended to gather information from the industry to assist in the development of a potential future acquisition strategy anticipated to be classified under North American Industry Classification System (“NAICS”) Code 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors. 

Interested parties are requested to submit a capabilities statement that addresses the following:

Company Information: Company name, address, point of contact, email address, phone number, CAGE code, and business size status (e.g., Small Business, 8(a), Woman-Owned, etc.).
Experience: Provide a detailed description of your company’s experience in performing similar projects, specifically athletic field renovation and construction. Please include at least two (2) examples of projects completed within the last five (5) years of a similar scope and complexity.
PWS Feedback: Provide any feedback or suggestions on the attached Performance Work Statement (“PWS”). Feedback can include, but is not limited to feasibility of the requirements, the clarity of the tasks, and the 90-day period of performance.

All documentation, including any illustrations, pictures, etc., must be no more than ten (10) pages in combined length and shall be either Portable Document Format (PDF) or Microsoft Word format. Formatted to 8.5" x 11" (letter size) paper with type no smaller than 11-point font.

To ensure Government receipt, combined file size of emailed attachments should be limited to 10 MB. Attachments with files ending in .zip or .exe are not allowed and will be stripped. Ensure only .pdf, .doc or .docx documents are attached to your email.
