    The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Microsystems Technology Office (MTO) seeks information on technologies that enable and/or technical challenges that hinder:
    • A black-start capability where an entirely new microelectronics manufacturing capability can be rapidly established at a location of choice, preferably remote
    • A brown-start capability where existing microelectronics supplies can be repurposed while manufacturing capabilities are established and/or re-established to reach needed capacities
    • A clean-slate capability where traditional microelectronics are replaced with unconventional technologies, thereby creating an entirely new and alternative technology ecosystem

    Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) will be used to inform and support future DARPA MTO solicitations on topic(s) related to microelectronics.
