REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT – HEADSPACE GUAGES

MARKET SURVEY - SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (NSWC-CD) is issuing this RFl/sources sought announcement as part of market survey seeking information on commercially available or modified commercially available headspace gauges for the following calibers:

• 300 AAC Blackout - GO

• 300 AAC Blackout - No GO

• 5.56mm NATO

• 7.62x39mm

• 6.5 Creedmoor

• 7.62 x 51 NATO

• 300 Norma Magnum

• 338 Norma Magnum

• 6.8mm/277 FURY

This Request for Information (RFI) is being released as part of market research with the intent of following with a potential solicitation.  Anticipated action would be a five (5) year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity, firm fixed priced contract. Responses should include the following: technical data sheets, technology readiness level, availability, budgetary cost estimate to include willingness to sign up to five (5) year pricing, lead time of the solution, as well as any data to support that new company would mitigate the duplication of costs or delay to mission to expedite the decision-making process.  In addition, if you are providing a modified commercial solution to any of the above calibers, please provide the commercial item being modified, how it is modified and impacts to current commercial pricing.

This submission may be in the form of product literature, operating instructions, and/or supplemental technical documentation that define the item(s) and associated hardware. Potential sources should provide any delivery, shipping or warranty information.

At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts. This sources sought synopsis does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The US Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement.
