SMASH 2000L ENHANCED FCS FOR M4 - NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

The 82d Contracting Squadron, Sheppard AFB, TX intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract for seven (7) Smash 2000L Enhanced Fire Control System (FCS) for M4 platfomrs to Smartshooter Precise Technological Soultions, 13405 Elevation Lane, Herdon, VA 20171. 

NAICS CODE: 334419 - Other Electronic Component Manufacturing 
PSC CODE: 1240 - Optical Sighting anf Ranging Equipment 

The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) and 41 U.S.C. 1901(e)(2), as implemented by RFO 6.103-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This authority is supported by an approved Sole Source Justification Letter attached on this specila notice. It is the Government's intent to proceed with this sole-source action. The applicable NAICS code 334419 size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 750 Employees. 

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A SOLICITATION, REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. A solicitation package will NOT be issued. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement in the future is in the best interest of the Government.  All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the products required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
