*AMENDMENT 0001 changes CLINs 0002, 0003, and 0004 to OPTION CLINs. No other changes have been made.

ITEM DESCRIPTION- Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, 300 Hwy 361, Crane Indiana 47522, has a requirement to procure Engineering Services for the Simplified Driver (SDR) and Continuous Wave Illuminator (CWI) Microwave Tubes (MWTs), including, but not limited to, Product Improvement Program, Diminishing Manufacturing Services, Failure Analysis, Field Performance Analysis, and Design Improvements. This requirement is planned as a two-year, non-commercial Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) job order contract under Basic Order Agreement (BOA) N0016424RWP16 with OPTIONS. The job order is expected to include the following CLIN structure:

CLIN 0001: Interim Report; FFP

CLIN 0002: Final Report (ECP); FFP (OPTION)

CLIN 0003: Build of Engineering Test (ET) Units; FFP (OPTION)

CLIN 0004: Engineering Change Order (EO); FFP (OPTION)

CLIN 0005: Technical Data Requirements IAW SOW and CDRLs; Not Separately Priced (NSP)

SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT- The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Microwave Power Products Inc., 811 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, CA, 94304 (Cage Code 99313) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. The planned award date for the proposed contraction action is 30 September 2025 and for a total amount of $500,000. This is being sole sourced under the BOA; Microwave Power Products is the only source which has the capability to perform the engineering services required on the SDR and CWI MWTs. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of re-evaluating the justification for sole source or limitation of sources and making a determination to change the acquisition strategy to a competitive procurement. Solicitations and amendments for this sole source action will not be posted to sam.gov and are available only from the POC identified below.  

A Solicitation will NOT be posted to sam.gov due to its Sole-Source nature of the procurement. The draft award agreement will be issued directly to Microwave Power Products on or around 30 September 2025.
