SOURCES SOUGHT FOR 9MM PISTOL AND SHOTSHELL AMMUNITION - NOTE: THIS IS A MARKET SURVEY FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE

DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island (ACC-RI), on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems, is seeking to combine two small caliber ammunition contracts into a single contract and seeking to identify potential sources capable of delivering 9mm M882 Ball ammunition, 9mm Modular Handgun System (MHS) ammunition, and Shotshell ammunition. The 9mm M882 is fired the M17, M18, and M9, M11 weapons or Government Approved Commercial Equivalent. MHS is fired from the M17, M18, APC9K submachine gun, and M9, M11 or Government Approved Commercial Equivalent. 12 Gauge Shotshell ammunition is intended for use in manual and semi-automatic shotguns chambered to fire 12 Gauge, 2 ¾” ammunition (Mossberg 500/590 and Remington 870) for training and tactical purposes. The 10 Gauge blank shotshell is used for rendering military honors during ceremonies such as reveille, retreat, funerals, retirements, and change of command. It is fired from a 75mm WWII Cannon using a 10-gauge adapter.

A single award, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Firm Fixed Prices (FFP) is being contemplated. Respondents need to possess the capability to manufacture up to 104,000,000 of MHS/Pistol ammunition in any DODIC (A363, AC20, AC21, AC22, AC23, AC24 and AC60) combination and 4,000,000 of Shotshell ammunition in any DODIC (A010, A011, A014, A017 and A020) combination for each of the five years within the FY 2027-2032 Period of Performance (PoP). Anticipated maximum contract PoP quantity is approximately 540,000,000 cartridges for all families of ammunition in any DODIC combination.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION: Interested firms who feel they are capable of manufacturing the above cartridges are invited to indicate their interest by providing the Government: 1) A brief summary of its company’s capabilities, facilities, personnel, and past manufacturing experience, and 2) Monthly production capacities with assumptions about number of shifts and any other production factors that may affect monthly capacities.
