SOURCES SOUGHT FOR NSN 1680-01-686-4458

Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Weapons Support is issuing this Sources Sought Notice as a means of conducting market research to determine if other companies are capable of manufacturing (or legitimately obtaining) the following item: NSN 1680-01-686-4458, aircraft seat cushion.  This item is currently manufactured by BAE Systems Land & Armaments L.P. (CAGE 54786) under part number 100920-3 and The Boeing Company (CAGE 8V613) under part number 7-611910030-003.  The Weapon System Designator Code is E2A.

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational purposes only.  This is not a request for an offer.  This does not constitute as a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government.  Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement.  No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement.  Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary.

Since this item is source controlled, DLA is not authorized to add new sources. Only the manufacturing source specified on the source control drawing is authorized to approve new sources.  Interested parties who want to become an approve source are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by January 20, 2026, 2:00pm eastern standard time.  The buyer will provide information for the cognizant design authority authorized to approve sources.
