SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR NSN: 4240-01-529-8327 / 4240-01-528-9288

Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, the Defense Logistics Agency is issuing this Sources Sought Notice as a means of conducting market research to identify an interest in and the resources to support requirements for the following National Stock Numbers (NSNs):

           Clear Assembly Outsert, NSN: 4240-01-529-8327, Part Number 71014/12

           Laser Assembly Outsert, NSN: 4240-01-528-9288, Part Number 71014/11

The requirements are sole sourced to Avon Protection Systems Incorporated (CAGE - 1LEW5).

DLA Troop support is researching the possibility of issuing a solicitation for the referenced item under an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Long-Term Contract with Annual Estimated Quantities as follows:

            AEQ - 60,000 each for NSN: 4240-01-529-8327

            AEQ - 499 each for NSN: 4240-01-528-9288

If an award is made, the resultant award would not exceed a period of five (5) years.  First Article Testing and Production Lot Testing are required for both NSNs.

This Sources Sought Notices is issued for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation nor is this notice a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP).  This notice should not be construed as a commitment by DLA Troop Support for any purpose.  Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary.  The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any cost incurred.  The Government will NOT pay for any information submitted by respondents in response to this Sources Sought Notice.  If a solicitation would result, it would be synopsized on the “Contract Opportunities” website at SAM.gov and it would be the Contractor’s responsibility to monitor the “Contract Opportunities” website for any such notices.
