FCC TERRE HAUTE BULK SALT REQUIREMENT

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to solicit for the provision of Bulk Sodium Chloride (Solar Salt) for the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC), located at 4700 Bureau South, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirement contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, with two (2) twelve month option periods. The North American Industrial Classifiction (NAICS) code is 325998 - All Other Miscellaneous Chemical Product and Preparation Manufacturing, (Size Standard of 650 employees). The contractor shall provide Bulk Solar Salt to be used in the water treatment system at FCC Terre Haute. Product Shall be 99.5% pure Sodium Chloride potable water conditioning grade salt. The contractor shall provide approximately 65 deliveries a year totalling 1,625 tons a year. A delivery will be via a Pneumatic Truck and will contain a 25-ton load. Deliveries will be scheduled between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Services are required to be provided by the contractor in accordance to the specifications.
