SSMD EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

Marine Corps Field Contracting System, Marine Corps Installations East, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Data Security, Inc., 300 S 7th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68208-2401, United States in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.102(a), that only one source reasonably available under Restrictive Rights.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 

This requirement to purchase the Solid-State Media Disintegrator (SSMD) Preventative Maintenance and Extended Warranty for the current equipment. The SSMD is manufactured by Data Security Inc. The preventative maintenance and warranty will extend the service life of the SMMD that CISD has on hand.

Interested firms may submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement.  Responses must be received at the Contracting Office no later than 2:00 PM EDST, 15 June 2026.
