SURFACE VELOCITY PROFILE DRIFTER SYSTEM (ICE BALL) BUOYS

The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center (FLC), Norfolk, Va, 23511 intends to award a sole source contract for Naval Atlantic Meteorology and Oceanography Center Norfolk’s (NAVLANTMETOCCEN’s) Naval Ice Center, part of the U.S. National Ice Center (USNIC). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334513. The resulting contract will be procured from Pacific Gyre. NAVLANTMETOCCEN has a requirement to acquire 62 buoys. The required period of performance is 90 days after contract award. See the attached sole source justification for additional information regarding the sole source determination. The notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. All responsible sources may submit a quote, proposal, or bid that shall be considered by the NAVSUP FLCN Contracting Officer. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed action based responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
